Wild Like the Wind (Chaos, #5)

by Kristen Ashley

The brother known as Hound has a reputation. He’s all about cracking heads, having a good time, and when the Chaos Motorcycle Club needs someone to do the tough job, they call on him.

But Hound has a secret. He fell in love with a woman years ago. She’s untouchable. Unattainable. And even when her status changes, for Hound, it remains the same.

Keely Black had it all early and lost it all not long after. Thrown into an abyss of loss and grief, she’s faced a life of raising two sons alone and battling the rage at all that had been ripped from them.

And why.

Words spoken in anger open Hound’s and Keely’s eyes. For Hound, he sees he’s wasted his life loving the wrong woman. Keely sees she’s wasting her life not opening herself to the love of a good man.

I am not going to rate this one because I knew going in I wasn't going to like it. The only reason I read it is in preparation for Rush's book. The entire first part of this book read like bad cheesy hardcore porn (KA is just NOT good at writing sex scenes). I hated Keely; she was gross and trashy, and WAY too obsessed with her son's sex lives (gag). I hated Hound and his creepy friendship with the 89-year-old lady. I hated that he put his hands on Keely in anger, then somehow while "apologizing" turned it around, so it was really HER fault for not being open with him?? -- what a surprise (insert sarcasm voice) this is pretty much KA's go to MO. The gauntlet thing was stupid (how old are these guys??!!) BUT...I LOVED that Rush told them off! And I loved the Bev found her HEA after what that fuckwad Boz did to her.

Here is to hoping she doesn't fuck up Rush's book for me!

Remember WAY back in the Rock Chick series Rock Chick Renegade when Vince got all up in Roam's face when he put his hands on Jules and said: "Never put your hands on a woman in anger." Ya, well, someone needed to give him a call because apparently NOW in KA land it is A-OK to put your hands on a woman in anger...If I have said it once, I have said it a million times. I am 100% convinced that KA hates women.
