** I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion. No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own **

I have to say, I had a difficult time reading this book – only because I had so much other stuff to do and I didn’t want to put it down! Normally I can guarantee I’d have devoured this book in 24 hours or less, but alas, school & life think they need to rear their ugly heads and make my reading a bit more difficult! LOL

Now… Chimera is a new take on sci-fi/YA – I’d honestly classify the book as both, considering the main character is 13 years old and the concept of what she and her kin are able to do is, well, sci-fi type stuff. But it’s completely awesome and it’s a fresh idea – not the boring stuff we usually get.

Chimera takes a real medical condition (Chimerism) and fuses it with a wonderful sci-fi twist – but I can’t tell you the twist or you’ll know too much already! Trust me, this book is difficult to put down – from the moment it starts you’ll be wondering what is going on and what will happen next.

Trust me – you need to read this book. It gets a full five stars from me because it’s just a WOW book and so hard to talk about without giving it all away!
