This was a new-to-me author and narrator, but came highly recommended by several people. I won this audiobook in a contest put on by Carmel at RabidReads, so making the decision to listen was made even easier. I am so glad I got it.

This story starts off with our hero, Shane, waking up in the hospital not remembering who he is or much of anything. Josie is very surprised when she gets a call from said hospital to tell her that they have her husband. She hasn't seen him in years. He left her without a word and she never heard from him again. She wasn't even sure if he was still alive.

As Shane starts to remember a few things, he knows that he knows things that could make him a dangerous man. He is constantly on the lookout for danger. As we figure out that someone is stalking Josie, he realizes he knows entirely too much about listening devices.

I will say, if I were Josie, I would not have put up with half of the crap that Shane put her through. As the story goes on and more comes out about Shane's past, I would've kicked his butt to the curb. It just made her seem weak to me. She was not my favorite.

While I wasn't a huge fan of Josie, I loved the brothers. They are loyal to each other, almost to a fault. I enjoyed the suspense of the story. She keeps you guessing about what is going on and who is stalking Josie and why.

I love the world that Zanetti has built. It is our world, but the brothers were "created" in a military camp to be super soldiers. They were bred and raise their from children. Also, there is a slight hint of paranormal to the story, which makes me very happy. I can't wait to see what else we learn about this world. I think she has just scratched the surface of what there is for us to know.

I've already purchased book two to find out what happens next and with with brother.

Narration
This is the first book that I've listened to by Karen White. I've heard about her a lot, but she doesn't do many, if any, PNR or UF books. I've seen her name come up a bunch on contemporary romances, but they are not high on my list, though I do some here and there. She did a great job with this series. She did a great job with both males and females. Shane had a bit of a Southern accent that she brought out well. I hope to find more books with Karen White as the narrator. I really enjoyed her portrayal of this story.
