Some love stories you never forget. Some books will change your world. Be prepared… This is one of them.

She tore herself from the man she adored, who transformed her, who possessed her…who would have destroyed her.

Nora Sutherlin is notorious for her delicious works of erotica. But her latest manuscript is different – more serious, more personal – and she’s sure it’ll be her breakout book…if it ever sees the light of day.

Zachary Easton is a most respected British editor grieving the eminent demise of his marriage to beautiful Grace. With orders to edit Nora’s novel, he only agrees on one condition: complete control. Nora’s gruelling writing sessions with Zach are draining…and shockingly arousing. But while their chemistry is through the roof, Nora is keeping secrets, and that complicates things.

Between her inability to leave dangerous former lover Søren despite their forbidden, violent love and her flirtatious relationship with teenage housemate Wesley, Nora drifts between the three men, ultimately unable to truly leave her past behind.

Nora thought she knew everything about being pushed to your limits. But in a world where passion is pain, nothing is ever that simple…

Continue Nora's story in the other books from the addictive Original Sinners series…

This book is not what I expected. Even after the myriad reviews and recommendations that said it would not be what I expected— this book is not what I expected. I’m tempted to think there’s no real way to describe it, because anything in this genre comes with expectations you can’t avoid. Reisz ignores most of them, winks at a few, subverts the rest.

I crave this kind of complexity. She’s not afraid to be silly and funny and come from a place of real joy, and yet take on the big subjects. Grace. Pain. Redemption. Faith. I had to check my preconceptions at the door, and the books that make me do that are too few and far between.

She pushed at my boundaries. I’m so glad she did; I’m so glad she made me think; I’m so glad I didn’t make up my mind before I opened the book. Also, now, two months after the fact with half of this series under my belt, I’m looking back at my former self who couldn’t stand Søren and said Wes was her favorite. Oh, honey. I had a feeling Reisz was setting me up to flip that around, and that she has.
