Intercepted Hearts is a quick read about hopes and dreams that have been put aside, reborn and conquered and also about family. The novel is told in the alternating first-person point of view of Hudson and Natalie. I was grateful to receive an arc of this novel in exchange for my honest review of the book.

Hudson is the starting quarterback for the New York Kings and has just punched his ticket to the Super Bowl. With confidence and determination, he is focused on trying to win the big game. That is until the new cheerleader shows up and catches his eye.

Natalie has a lot on her shoulders that she needs to focus on the here and now and not get distracted but when the star player on the team has his sights on her she has to decide between following her dream or following her heart.

This was my first novel by Mika Jolie and will not be my last. She was able to tell the whole story in the short novel and it did not feel rushed or that anything was missing from the story. I can not wait to see where she goes from this novel to develop the stories of some of the side characters.
