I'll start by saying that some of this story I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, the description of the book is of a cop who is new on the SWAT team, but we quickly got off the cop story, and after two days of work, Jenna takes a emergency leave of absence. One moment she was kick ass in your face woman and then she was like a confused teenager.

Adam is supposed to be a sexy shifter, the alpha of his pack, but his interest in her is quickly over the top and the only reason we don't fear him as a crazed stalker is because he is presented to us as the hero. One moment he is thoughtful and considerate of her feelings, the next he is growling at her. Her friends and family are angry with her because Adam wants to mate with her (after about 4 days of knowing her) and he's suffering, so she's a bad person because she won't end his suffering and mate with him.

There was some funny part where she is mad at her partner and some of the other males because all the supernatural males are men whores, but the repeated referenced to that then started getting over used like..."if an Other could get an STD..."
