Judging by the average rating for this book, it appealed to most people more than it did for me. I liked the character motivation explorations, but just did not really get engaged with this book. Which is a shame as I had been keenly looking forward to it after Book 1. Maybe it was the self-sacrifice. I know she was one third Abnegation, but she was also one third Erudite - so not sure her decision was that smart a thing to do. And why would she trust Jeanine to keep her side of the bargain after she was dead? And really it was pretty suicidal - so not sure this would fit with Dauntless. And the Dauntless traitors seemed a little easy to kill or escape from...
