Sit back my book loving peeps and enjoy the ride. To begin with, I actually really liked this book. It has some heavy duty BDSM in it, and that type of thing is right up my kink loving alley. It is a relatively short book, so the pace moves at a good clip. And both the hero and heroine were likable.



So here is where the wheels fell off for me (a smidge). And yes, I know this is a nitpicky damn thing to be complaining about. And this spoiler also gives a way the end of the book...so proceed with caution --> You find out at the end of the book that the whole "kidnapping and being held captive was this elaborate role playing scenario to celebrate this couples one-year anniversary.

Here is the thing...the heroine (WIFE) actually goes on a date with an OM she meets on a dating APP as part of this role playing set up. She goes home with this guy, and kisses him before taking her leave. This bugged me on SOOO many levels. First, why was it necessary to string some poor guy along in the first place?? Couldn't she have just PRETENDED to go on a date? It just seemed so distasteful and freaking rude to make a date with some guy under false pretenses. He had NO idea she was married!! Second; it is never clear if the husband knew of the kiss, or if he OK'd the kiss as part of this ruse? If not, then she technically cheated. If he knew and was OK with it, then fine, not cheating, but still distasteful as fuck.

So yea, I am sure this will bother NO ONE else as much as it did "ME", but it just left a bad taste in my mouth and I needed to get that off my chest. (lol)
