From there, he provides field-tested, evidence-based, and sometimes surprising strategies for dealing with assholes-- avoiding them, outwitting them, disarming them, sending them packing, and developing protective psychological armor. By helping you develop an outlook and personal plan that will help you preserve the sanity in your work life, Sutton also help you prevent all those perfectly good days from being ruined by some jerk.

I found this book through Gretchen Ruebin's HappinessPProject Experience. I haven't read his previous work but I'll be going back for sure.

I love all the science and stories. Very easy to read and enjoyable. Plenty of practical tips with common sense checks.

It's a relief that Someone understands the power of quitting! I'm so tired of hearing 'never quit' and 'any thing worth doing is worth doing well'. If you're not going to pay me and treat me right, why? That's some capitalist bullshit.

I had a supervisor worthy of these stories. She finally finally got fired thank the gods. But now I'm prepared just in case for next time. And this makes me feel so much better dealing with the aftermath of her assholishness. I'm going to recommend this to her other victims as well.

Now off to find something to help me with the annoying gross lazy man child coworker. Any recs would be greatly appreciated!
