The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan

The Lost Hero (Heroes of Olympus, #1)

by Rick Riordan

The next chapter in the #1 New York Times bestselling Percy Jackson universe! Book 1 of The Heroes of Olympus fantasy adventure series for readers ages 10 and up.

Classmates Jason, Piper, and Leo learn they are actually demigods who must embark on a quest to rescue a certain missing deity…

Jason has a problem. He doesn’t remember anything before waking up on a school bus holding hands with a girl. Apparently she’s his girlfriend Piper, his best friend is a kid named Leo, and they’re all students in the Wilderness School, a boarding school for “bad kids.” What he did to end up here, Jason has no idea―except that everything seems very wrong.

Piper has a secret. Her father has been missing for 3 days, and her vivid nightmares reveal that he’s in terrible danger. Now her boyfriend doesn’t recognize her, and when a freak storm and strange creatures attack during a school field trip, she, Jason, and Leo are whisked away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood. What is going on?

Leo has a way with tools. His new cabin at Camp Half-Blood is filled with them. Seriously, the place beats Wilderness School hands down, with its weapons training, monsters, and fine-looking girls. What’s troubling is the curse everyone keeps talking about, and that a camper’s gone missing. Weirdest of all, his bunkmates insist they are all―including Leo―related to a god.

Fans of demigods, prophesies, and quests will be left breathless—and ready to tear into the next chapter of Heroes of Olympus!

This book is a very good one and I love it very much. I love that Mr. Riordan wrote this series in third person but also that every three chapters is of either Jason, Piper, and Leo which is pretty cool as we get to see some things that has been happening with them. I can tell this series is going to be a good one. I am also quite happy to say that I was oh so wrong about this one not being any good at all. Which was my first thought of this series but I am happy to say that I am very wrong and that I can't wait to read and share my thoughts of the other books.
