I was a bit disappointed we didn't meet Stormbringer until the very end. And there was just a hint of the role the greater powers might play in the rest of the books. But despite there being only a handful of words dedicated to each of them, the settings really stand out for me, and there's a lot of potential for interesting conflict between Elric, his sword, and his patron. Also I just love intelligent weapons.
