My review and an extended sample of the audiobook are posted at Hotlistens.com.

After listening to several of Scarlett’s stories in the Beechwood Harbor Ghost Mystery series, I was glad to spend more time with Holly again. Don’t get me wrong, I love Scarlett and all of her ghost friends. I just missed all the other paranormal creatures in the Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery series.

In this story, Holly and the gang have yet another roommate in the manor. Narissa is a shifter. And the SPA (Supernatural Protection Agency) have asked Holly to keep an eye on her, because Narissa is a person of interest in a case of werewolf deaths.

This is another fun addition into the series. I enjoyed my time with the characters that I really love. We even get to have Holly talk with Lacey (it was nice to hear from her again). Cassie, the human best friend of Holly, is planning her wedding to the human, Chief of Police, Chief Lincoln. There is a bit of relationship drama between Adam and Holly as they discuss getting a place together outside the manor. There were also issues with Nick, as he shows interest in Narissa, the “person of interest” and Holly following the couple.

I can’t wait to see what’s in store next for the people of Beechwood Harbor, from whichever series. I do see that Danielle Garrett has a new series coming to audiobooks, A Touch of Magic Mysteries. I don’t know much about it, but Amanda Ronconi will be the narrator for that series, too. I can’t wait to see what that will be about. I love the Garrett/Ronconi pairing.

Narration
Amanda Ronconi is a queen when it comes to funny paranormal stories. She is one of my all-time favorites. She does such a great job in bringing out the humor in a story. I don’t really know how to describe it other than her “ability to bring out the humor in the story”, but she does it and does it extremely well. But, there you have it. If you haven’t tried her, I highly recommend her work.
