The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich

The Love Interest

by Cale Dietrich

Caden is a Nice: The boy next door, sculpted to physical perfection. Dylan is a Bad: The brooding, dark-souled guy, and dangerously handsome. The girl they are competing for is important to the organisation, and each boy will pursue her. Will she choose a Nice or the Bad?

Both Caden and Dylan are living in the outside world for the first time. They are well-trained and at the top of their games. They have to be - whoever the girl doesn’t choose will die.

What the boys don’t expect are feelings that are outside of their training. Feelings that could kill them both.

It was not really what I expected from this story.. and I did not really like this one as much as I'd hoped.

The MC was kind of.. generic in my opinion and I did not really feel much for him. He was kind of boring ? Also none of the other characters seemed that interesting or had much depth to begin with.

Secondly, the romance took over most of the plot. This could have been SO MUCH MORE then it ended up being. Most of the time it was about Dyl and feelings and blegh.. just give me more action !! More excitement !! It was all so dull and not much was happening. Only after 75% of the book finally some stuff seemed to happen, but by then it was kind of too late.

I did like the twist in the whole love triangle thing. It is different then we are used to, and I like that.

But all in all it was kind of disappointing. I wanted it to be more of a spy novel, full of action and stabbing, not just some angsty teen drama. So I can not give it more then 2.5 stars.. rounded down to 2.
