I really don't like anthologies, honestly probably because of my adhd, & having trouble concentrating when I'm reading stories that don't even give me a chance to "get into" them, because they are over before I actually, well, I can. So... generally, these days, I avoid them.

...BUT I decided that THIS was worth giving a try. Sigh; It took me forever to read this freakin' book. Don't get me wrong, I don't regret reading it, not at ALL— there were some wonderful gems in there! Plus its pages are CHOCKFULL of diversity & representation!

This had SO much freakin' potential. Although I can appreciate what this set out to do... unfortunately, for me, as a whole, this kinda fell a bit short. I don't think that there were any BAD stories necessarily, but I think there are one or two stories that may be a bit too indie/ artistic for the mainstream YA reader (think the alternative vs the mainstream pop music fan?), but that I enjoyed enough. A few that were extremely innovative & exceptional, and the rest somewhere in the realm of... slightly below average to slightly above average. In other words... meh? All in all still worth the read.

I do recommend though, for those of you who DO enjoy anthologies, love vampires, and... yeah.
