I'm horrible at summarizing books and the synopsis did a wonderful job of doing just that, so go ahead and read that ;)
There are seriously so many things to love about this book, the action, suspense, mystery, the characters, and a pretty steamy scene ... which I was seriously on the edge of my seat waiting for!
Emma is such a likable character and quite the bad ass, come on she was in special forces, should we be surprised? And if you didn't know already, I love female characters that can handle their own. Emma is kicking ass and taking names, everyone.
Throughout the book, you pretty much peel back things layer by layer. Emma has no memory of her life before her big accident and out of nowhere the supernatural are constantly around her, claiming that she's this and that, which just leaves her in a puddle of confusion. And that's definitely the case when Zane and Alex pop up her life. Zane , I am so Team Zane and have some serious high expectations for the books to come ... please don't break my heart. It's evident that Emma has this familial draw to Zane, but with her memory loss, she can't exactly pinpoint why.
I'm a fan of Alex, Lilly and even Eddie, I'm hoping to get a bit more character development in the next book. As curious as I am about Emma's life, I definitely want to know more about everyone else.
I think paranormal fans will get a kick out of this book, you get a little bit of everything and leaving you desperate for more by the end. Can we have more Zane, please?! I'd totally be happy with that :)
