Book 1, Part 3. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think Murderbot actually enjoyed its job (when it’s not being ordered around by stupid humans). Seems the author subscribes to the “short-lived civilization” solution to the Fermi paradox. A shame. I’d love to see Murderbot meet aliens.
