I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Prism Book Tours. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. The Christmas Kiss By Virginia McCullough is the second book in Back to Bluestone River, and it is very different from the usual romance novels. Ms. McCullough is a new author for me, and I liked learning about the bird sanctuary.

Will Parker and Emma find anything to agree about?

Parker Davis

Parker Davis is recently divorced and is into saving birds, along with bringing knowledge about them to people that don't know much. He thinks that this sanctuary is a great idea, even if it isn't what he is used to doing. Parker loves his daughter and would do anything for her, even if that means doing something that he wasn't proud of for his ex-wife.

What I like about Parker is that he is a great dad, and he worries about the influence his ex-wife has on their daughter. He is a very caring person, and it shows when he is taking care of the birds, helping Emma, or even more just being there for the townsfolk. The one thing that I didn't like about him is that Parker doesn't know how to trust Nicole, his daughter, when seeing her mom.

Emma O'Connell

Emma O'Connell is one of the reasons why the bird sanctuary is being built in the first place. She has a trust fund not only from her deceased husband but from her family. Emma loves to help people out and has been doing that as best as she can. The one thing that she doesn't like to talk about is her accident and how she uses a cane now to get around. That and it was mentioned in the first book.

What I like about Emma is that instead of keeping her money to herself, she is using it wisely to help people. She doesn't even sign the checks since she has her trust fund people doing that for her. Emma is a very generous person. She, just like Parker, is a very caring person in the way that she helps out the town and by helping out her friend Ruby with her son Jason.

Five Stars

The Christmas Kiss By Virginia McCullough is another romantic adventure that takes two people on a wonderful journey. They have to find a way to work together and to learn that maybe they both have someone else out there for them. They just had to look. I am giving this book five stars and recommending it all the romance readers out there.
