One with You by Sylvia Day

One with You (Crossfire, #5)

by Sylvia Day

The finale to the crossfire saga finds Gideon and Eva fighting for their marriage, trying to keep their vows even when ugly secrets have been revealed.

Falling in love with Gideon Cross was the easiest thing Eva had ever done. Marrying him was a dream come true. Staying married to him is the fight of her life. Their love was both a refuge from the storm and the most violent of tempests. They bared their deepest, ugliest secrets to one another... but the greatest battle may lie within the very vows that gave them strength. Committing to love was only the beginning. Fighting for it will either set them free... or break them apart....

I'm so tempted to give this four stars, but three feels more accurate.

There's nothing really special about the book itself. It's the exact same problems rehashed over and over. Very much like the previous book.

The reason I'm tempted to give it four stars instead is because One with You had some of that "final book in a series charm". I couldn't help but enjoy it because I was excited to come back to the characters, and I liked watching the series get wrapped up.

So in that sense, it was very enjoyable.
But objectively, there's nothing new about this book. It's the same stuff we've already seen earlier in the series.
