Avengers #11 wins the award for making me laugh the most for this week. That’s not to say that it was a poorly written issue – it just had a lot of character interactions that I found quite amusing. On the whole the main plot didn’t move forward much, so I can see why people may not have liked it.
This issue showed more of the political side of Avengers. This makes sense, as there are other teams at play now, and they don’t necessarily want to play nice with the Avengers. Plus the whole move for T’Challa to be in charge and the inevitable ramifications of that choice. I’m enjoyed watching it all unfold.
The issue also goes a bit forward with some of the relationships and character development for the team. There’s one relationship that made me laugh when it first appeared, but they’ve managed to turn it into something longer lasting and more interesting. At least, it seems like the case. We’ll have to see where it leads.
