Her first encounter with Mark is at supermarket, he is talking sternly to someone on the phone. She is intrigued and lingers longer than she should to find out a little more about him. She knocks a display over and Mark helps her pick everything up but when she looks round he has vanished.
The pair meet again at the gallery and one thing leads to another and they get together. The problem is Mark has commitment issues and he will be there one minute and disappear for days, weeks and even months without talking to Saturday and as a result she is not happy about it. They do meet up again and she asks him outright why he is like this but he seems to avoid answering the questions. There is something dark and deep about Mark that we all want to know.
This book is full of suspense and mystery, with a little romance and steaminess too, but it wasn’t full on which I liked as it flowed with the story well.
They characters were likable although I did want to scream at Mark to pull himself together and just commit or walk away as it was not fair on Saturday.
A well written book, with a cliffhanger at the end, luckily the second book is already out so I can read it straight away.
