I am completely invested in this series, if you saw my last review, you know that I don't really read forbidden reads. Yes, there's an age gap, which I don't mind, it's the best friend's much younger daughter that makes it quite taboo.

So, if you're reading this and haven't read Wanting Mr. Cane, you need to exit now. These books aren't stand alones and they're all part of a trilogy.

My goodness, where do I begin? If you remember that cliffhanger ending in Wanting Mr. Cane, you were just dying to know what was going to happen. I'll definitely say that this series just gets better with every new book Williams releases.

It's clear as day that Kane and Kandy are absolutely perfect for each other. And I can't even begin to tell you why, but they just work. I know that Kandy is still technically a teenager at 19 years old, but she's rather mature for her age. Kane is just completely gone for her, which no one will ever understand or accept. When it comes to Kandy, he has so much to lose. Once some truths are revealed, Kandy's life slowly starts to fall apart. You'll be wondering how the heck a happy ending will come out of this, which makes me you even more anxious because there's still another book to get through.

I went through so many emotions with this one, from feeling their heartbreak, the hopelessness of their situation, pure and utter anger with a very certain character, irritation beyond irritation, but just so much love for Kane and Kandy.

The entire time, all you will want is for everyone to just accept them together. But it's completely complicated because both sides have so much to lose and both Kane and Kandy want each other to be happy. Even if they need to accept not being together.

I have no idea how I'm going to tide myself over until September because cliffhanger ending, guys. And it'll leave you screaming, "whyyyyyyy must you end it like that?". You're absolutely killing me, Shanora! When I started this series, I never imagined myself going on this absolute crazy ride with Kane and Kandy. Their struggles are far from over and I'm a little bit nervous to see what Shanora will make us go through in Loving Mr. Cane. I'm coming up with all sorts of theories … is it September yet?

Highly recommend this series and it has easily become my favorite for the year! And since I don't read many taboo books, this is easily my fave taboo book!
