Very short review that can be summarized in "I disliked this story a lot": What a huge disappointment. I read Unlit Star by Lindy Zart and I loved it a lot so I thought I would like this one, at least. I didn't. I just...ugh! I love weird, sarcastic characters but this was... I don't even know. I love when I can connect to a character or the story but there was no connection whatsoever.

I had a major problem with Kennedy. I felt like her character was a joke to the story. The way she was executed felt forced—especially with how she talks—but I think the author made her sarcastic and non-empathetic so the reader would love her........ I didn't love Kennedy. I disliked her so much. I'm pretty sure I only kept reading this for Blake, Graham's brother. If not for him, I would have DNF'd this a while ago.
