My first experience with the characters from [a:Kelly Pulley|39626|Kelly Pulley|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1294801110p2/39626.jpg]'s very popular [b:The Beginner's Bible: Timeless Children's Stories|70293|The Beginner's Bible Timeless Children's Stories|Kelly Pulley|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1170725875s/70293.jpg|68110] was through a four-pack board book collection in November 2010 ([b:Animal Adventures Collection|8588397|Animal Adventures Collection (Beginner's Bible®, The)|Mission City Press Inc.|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1328017269s/8588397.jpg|13457837]). I just love those books an they are still some of our favorites --> I wish there were more! Then a few weeks ago, I discovered [b:The Beginner's Bible Book of Prayers|11346108|The Beginner's Bible Book of Prayers|Kelly Pulley|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1327939584s/11346108.jpg|16275384]. This little book is very attractive with a padded board book cover and firm pages. It is a perfect size for any young child to hold. Each page pair has a typical Kelly Pulley illustration with a Bible Story title and verse underneath. Then on the opposite page is a plaque-like design of a solid color with a word of character and then a prayer prime for memorization. IF you already love and appreciate The Beginner's Bible then I'm certain you'll enjoy this book.

This one thing I have noticed is that it is not ideal for bedtime/low light reading with the prayer written on a solid color. But other than that, the value is plain and often already my daughter requests we look at it again and again. On a positive note of those colored pages, it has become a secondary useful tool as on each page she tells me what the color is. *grin* Yay! for educational toddler value.
