Cinderella's Shoes by Shonna Slayton

Cinderella's Shoes (Fairy-Tale Inheritance, #2)

by Shonna Slayton

Now that Cinderella’s dress has been safely hidden away, Kate Allen sets her sights on finding the magical glass slippers. The Kolodenkos claim Cinderella’s shoes have been lost to the family, but Kate is convinced she knows where they are. Or at least, who might know where they are.

With her dad still missing, Kate could use a pair of shoes with the power to reunite loved ones. But to find the famous glass slippers, she’ll have to get around the tight-lipped Kolodenko family and travel to post WWII Poland.

As official keeper of the wardrobe for Cinderella’s heirlooms, she’s learning that balancing alliances between Cinderella’s heirs and the stepsister’s descendants may cost her more than she’s willing to give up.

Can she stop a family feud that has lasted for centuries?

This book follows along the story from the first book very well. You have the unresolved mystery of where her father is as he was never found and is presumed dead as part of his efforts in the war. But Kate knows he still got to be out their somewhere and she is determined to find the missing Cinderella shoes in hopes that they will help her find her dad like they help the prince find Cinderella in the fairy tale. I love how we get pulled along on this adventure to a place i doubt i will ever get to travel. I like been able to picture the old castle, and i really felt that i was riding along with Kate as she trys to unravel this family mystery and was all tears when i got to the conclusion of the mystery. Great story.
