This book wasn't as great as the other in the series, but overall I was pleased with it. It looks like this book is the end of the series but there was a small bit at the end where the author could continue on, if she pleased. However, if she doesn't, the series ended in a way that was pleasing.

In this book, the cat is out of the bag about Anderson and now everybody is dealing with the fallout of what Konstantin did. Nikki takes the reigns on trying to fix everything that the reveal caused. I also liked Nikki because she had a level headed approach and was smart about things. It really shows in this book and at times, it seemed like she was the only one who truly grasped what's going on or the others were too wrapped up in themselves to put the focus on what needed to be done. Nikki brought that focus and kept people on point.

I don't want to spoil anything, but the author does a could job of weaving a mythology story into the main story line. We finally get the whole story about Anderson and why he was always secretive about him being a god and not wanting it to get out. I won't spoil anything there, since the book is mostly about that.

I have to say that this is the first book where Jamaal didn't annoy me or act like a total ass. Which is good, because Nikki tends to act not the best around him, when he's around and in one of his moods. Sometimes I didn't really see them working out as a potential couple but I'm fine with how things went down. If Jamaal acted like he usually does in previous books, I would of been really bothered by this pairing.

Overall, this was a good book and a great series and I'm happy with how things ended. I would like to see more of Nikki, but sometimes it's time for a book series to end.
