Monster High by Lisi Harrison

Monster High (Monster High) (Monster High (Books), #1)

by Lisi Harrison

The monster community has kept a low profile at the local high school, but when two new girls enrol, the town will never be the same. Created just fifteen days ago, Frankie Stein is psyched to trade her father's formaldehyde-smelling basement lab for parties and prom.

I love the cover of this book, it's so cute and nice and girly and yeah, basically I just wanna hug the book! :)
Unfortunately, I didn't find the inside to match the outside. This would be a good read for those 10-13 year old girls, but no older than that.
The writing felt unfinished, and I didn't feel like the book had an actual plot, which is a shame, because the premise about diversity is good. Really, it is. It just didn't work for me in this book for some reason.
On a side note, I didn't feel like the iPhones in the book were necessary. Come on! Live a little. Forget the phones, go out, play and act like kids!
