Philosophical text on what consitutes the comic from 1900. A surprisingly accessible and decent read, in addition to being insightful. Occasionally Bergson assumes that his readers are familiar with nineteenth-century French plays, but his essays are perfectly understandable if these examples don't resonate with the reader.
