Revelations by Melissa de la Cruz

Revelations (Blue Bloods, #3)

by Melissa de la Cruz

Schuyler Van Alen's blood legacy has just been called into question: Is the young woman in fact a Blue Blood, or is it the sinister Silver Blood that runs through her veins? When one of the Gates of Hell is breached by the Silver Bloods, the Blue Bloods will need Schuyler on their side.

Woww, what a read. I felt like I was on the tips of my toes the whole time. This book was rather intense. So much happened! I really enjoyed it.

I think that because of how certain events happened we missed a lot. We didn’t get to see certain things develop because they had already happened before the book started or they were happening in the book but we didn’t find out about them till later. Which was kind of interesting because it felt like the characters were keeping secrets from the readers even.

The whole romance thing? Well Oliver still annoys me and I was very surprised about Jack.

I have to say, I noticed quite a few punctuation and grammar mistakes in this book… It was weird. Because I’ve never really noticed that before. But these mistakes were so blatant that it pulled me out of the story every time I came across one. I mean there wasn’t one every other page or every other chapter even. Still there were enough for me to take note of.

Also, the preview chapter for The Van Alen Legacy (The next book in the series) that this has at the back of this book is completely different to the finished version which I have only just started reading. Like it was completely re-written. In The Van Alen Legacy the first preview chapter is stretched out over a view chapters, it’s the same events but completely different words used to describe what’s happening. That annoyed me a little because of how different it was yet so much the same at the same time but then it also interested me to see how far they go when editing the books because the actual book of The Van Alen Legacy is much better written than the preview chapter in this book.

Overall, I quite enjoyed this book. Even if a few things did annoy me.

I’m excited to read what happens next but also nervous because the ending was quite an ending! Like jaw dropping. I needed to start reading the next book straight away because I wanted to know what happened next!

What did you think of this book?
