4 of 5 stars

I recently met V.K. Black and she very generously gave me a copy of A Bubbly Holiday to read and review.

Three short (very short) stories make up this anthology and they all in some ways revolve around the beach. I liked the characters in each story and the plots for them were fun and cute. These stories give us a glimpse of the lives of each of the couple's but a lot is left up to your imagination.

There was no sex in any of the stories, but you could definitely see the connection develop and you knew it was in their futures.

Couldn't give 5 stars, firstly because they were too short. I wanted to see more development, not just of their relationships but also what got them to that place in their lives. Secondly, the version I have doesn't clearly break between each story. I was halfway down the page before I realised the characters had changed names.

Overall, not something I would usually read, but it was enjoyable. I now have a clean read that I can vouch for if I get asked for a recommendation.

Thanks V.K. Black for sharing your work with me.
