The Breach by Patrick Lee

The Breach

by Patrick Lee

This is a dazzling, white-knuckle debut thriller starring an ex-convict who combines the government conspiracy angle of 24's Jack Bauer with the action of Lee Child's Jack Reacher, plus a dash of supernatural suspense.

Brilliant, imaginative, thought provoking and engaging. This is a trilogy worth reading for all scifi and action lovers alike.
The depth of details in all 3 books and how they tie together is absolutely amazing. In a out-of-this-world sorta way, they are unlikely realistic yet mind-blowingly believable. The characters are not nearly as detailed as most novels but none of that mattered because Lee successfully crafted them to be just as vivid and personable. I especially appreciated how Lee chose to hinge the trilogy's success based on the powerful plot and engaging action instead of the unnecessary character dramas that other books often rely on in order to make it really work. The result is a rare example of a successful debut that makes you put Patrick Lee at the top of your Favorite Authors list!
