It's a year after the events of Shaman, Healer, Heretic and Livvy's life has completely turned around. She's the hottest shaman around, getting business left and right, mobs of press and paparazi follow her everywhere, new wardrobe and condo. She's basically become a celebrity over night, and is there is a blossoming romance? But Livvy's lifestyle isn't the only thing that's changing. There's something strange happening with the multiverse (again): wounds inflicted there are carrying over into the real world and the usually aloof ancestral spirits are beginning to notice Livvy. Plus there's the problem of a network of Shaman who want to get rid of her!

I enjoyed this book much more than the previous. It grabbed me right away, and there's so much going on that it continuously held my attention. We get to see a lot more of the multiverse, which was a lot of fun, even if it wasn't so pleasant for our dear Livvy. There's also more insight into shamanic powers and their politics, and more about the responsibilities of intercessors like SK. There's also more emotion in this book, as Livvy works on a secret project in the underworld, and as she puts her heart on the line for a special someone.

I've really liked what I've read of the Techno-Shaman series so far, and I'll be eagerly awaiting the next book. I can't wait to see where Livvy ends up, and more of SK, Min, and Ursula!
