They are a lot of fun, the characters are just all around good guys and the girls are fierce and strong, and that's always a good recipe.
This one focuses on Andres (God almighty I can't even think his first name without laughing) and Valerie.
Andres is an enforcer, a pretty old one at that. He has a really interesting backstory that I thought will be more important to the general plot but really wasn't. He's thoughtful, occasionally kind of of dorky (I mean... the book part was Dorkā¢), and sweet. His thoughts were REALLY cheesy at points, but I guess that works with the strong silent types.
Valerie is a kick-ass vet who never waits around for everyone else to save her. She starts the book by stabbing one of her kidnappers, calling the police to save her and the other kidnapped women and diving out of a window to escape. KICK ASS I tell you. She's also a great cook, a loyal friend and a (mostly) rational person who is willing to give people chances to talk. I love her! Though I DID want her and Andres to pop back to her old life for a moment so Larry could see how very happy she is right now and maybe realize she has always been out of his league lol
(In general, in the two books I've read in the series, I wasn't really satisfied by the ending and wanted to see more scenes between out mains before the book ended *the song "you don't always get what you want" plays in the distance*).
Also, I enjoyed the side characters and I would love to read their stories one day! Fingers crossed that they'll be on kindle sale soon ('cause there are too many books to purchase them all full price haha)
