The story alternates between the hour, where they are trapped in the room, and the year leading up to this "dinner". I liked the juxtaposition of the ease of the past with the intensity of the present. I enjoyed collecting details from the past, and figuring out how they fit into this present day puzzle. It's always interesting to see people reveal their true selves under dire circumstances as well. Locked in a room, one dies or they all die, is one of those situations, where people can get really primal, and as expected, these kids crack.
Overall, a strong debut.
