Trust (Wrong, #4)

by Jana Aston

"KNOCK KNOCK!"
"UM... WHO'S THERE?"

Yeah. That was me, on my last date. Before you feel sorry for me
you should know that I was the one telling the jokes. Jokes as in
plural, because I didn't stop with just one. Of course not.

Hi. I'm Chloe Scott. The most awkward single girl in the city.
But I'm going to get it together. I am.

I'm going to learn how to date like a grown up.
I'm going to have an orgasm not given to myself.
And I'm going to live happily ever after.

Right after I get out of this interrogation room.

I needed to Trust my audio to get me through.

I'm not sure if you know, but I'm the wife of a sporty man and the mother of two very sporty kids. Last night was the State of Origin. For my foreign friends, this is a big deal in the Rugby Leauge world. Queensland -vs- New South Wales smash it out in three games and it's a BIG DEAL!!.

Now, this little ducky doesn't like sport AT ALL. Oh, I'm the biggest fans of my kids' sports, but grown men smashing into each other carrying a ball from one end of the field to the other just doesn't do it for me. Seeing the players in their suits before and after the games...now that's more my cup of tea.

Anyways... the Sassy household gets a wee bit loud when the State of Origin is playing and I really don't like it. It's hard enough to get hubby to watch his swearing when Queensland's winning, but if they're losing...well it's a losing battle for me. Now my kiddywinks are getting older and not at all unaware (unfortunately) of swearing. Lucky for me, they don't swear. Hubby, on the other hand, well it's a good thing I love him. So, I'm resigned to the screaming and cursing.

ANYWAYS...to cover the noise of State of Origin, my trusty audio plays a part. Earbuds in, door shut, and Kindle set up with Solitaire and Pinterest...I'm a happy girl. It also helped that Trust was an absolute crack-up. Hopefully, my laughing covered the other noises so the neighbours won't be too horrified by my very uncouth boys.

Trust was awesome. I loved the characters, the storyline and the settings. A slightly nerdy heroine who has A LOT of trouble finding love. Chloe is determined to give a relationship a go. Unfortunately, she's been on some shocking dates and the last one leaves her sitting in an interrogation room across from a very sexy man. How embarrassing? When the interrogation is over, Chloe hopes to never have to think about it again. Nope, Chloe's not that lucky. Turns out the sexy man is her friend's brother and she has to face him the next day.

Boyd can't believe his luck when the very cute and dorky woman he met turns out to be his sister's friend. She's a little skittish, but Boyd is determined to get to know her better. It's going to take some serious skills in manipulation to successfully win this girl...but he's up for the challenge.

I loved Boyd and Chloe together. He sees her and wants her. Boyd looks past her anxious ways and manages to, sometimes, help her relax and enjoy herself.

This is a VERY sexy story. I finished this story off on the way to work and there was this one scene...OH MY LORDY! I was standing on the train platform and I was squirming and blushing and squirming and deep breathing...let's just say that it was HOT!!

I have really enjoyed this series. It's sexy, funny and sweet. I can't wait to read/listen to more by Jana Aston. The narrators do a fabulous job and I will definitely listen to anything (romance) these two do together.
