Dark Prince was a first time read by this author and the synopsis sucked me right in! I was definitely looking forward to seeing how this one was going to go. As I start reading, I assumed this was going to be an adult paranormal romance, but I'd put this down as a new adult maybe? The characters read a lot younger and it wasn't exactly what I was hoping for. Having them attend an academy at their age just screamed new adult to me and it wasn't really working for me.

I was pretty interested in the world that Michelle created for us, but it was a bit too short and just needed more development overall. I had a lot of questions about the history between the Nightingales and Bluebloods. I'm sure as the series goes all, she'll be answering all these questions that I have.

I didn't quite feel the connection between Lucca and Vivienne, but honestly, they just needed more time together because I was pretty close to feeling something between them.

I did like hero and heroine, but I was begging for more. I'm still planning on reading the next book because this world is quite interesting to me.
