I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. The Baseball Bride by Claire Sanders is a cool way to do a historical romance set in 1910 and deals with baseball.

Will Abigail be able to fool everyone that she's her twin brother?

Abigail Mason

Abigail Mason is the youngest and only girl in the Mason family. She has a twin brother named Andrew and two older brothers. Abigail grew up playing baseball but didn't think that any guy would want her if she were known as a tomboy who loved to play baseball. Instead, she changed who she was to get any man to like her. Abigail is a great person, and I love how she deals with people who confront her about what she has done. I also like how she is around her family and what she shows Benjamin. She is a likable character.

Benjamin Connor

Doctor Benjamin Connor is the town's doctor who's been courting Abigail for the whole year that he's been there. His intentions were good, but he didn't trust anyone in town regarding his finances and to get his practice off the ground. I like how he wants to be secure in his practice before getting a wife involved and, of course, kids later down the road. Benjamin is a great person and I like his sense of humor.

Four Stars

The Baseball Bride by Claire Sanders is an excellent start to a series about the Mason family. I am rating this book four stars, and I recommend it to anyone who likes a sweet historical romance that includes some sports.
