Ok. It was a bit of a struggle to get through this one. Layne had soooo much going on that it wore me out. As always, I love KA men. Layne really dug in and stuck with Rocky and I loved that. I loved his boys and there were some really great secondary characters. I really liked Rocky but she wasn't one of my top favorite as far as KA female characters...that said she had a a lot to deal with.
I found it interesting that really- the "big bad" in this book wasn't (to me) an actual person. Even though there were some "villans" and bad stuff to deal with, the true "big bad" was the emotional aspect of Rocky's past. I thought it was really well done and again I'm glad Layne and his family really dug in.
And anytime we get Colt and Cal involved...I'm a happy girl!
