Fallon Wade isn't the entitled heiress he expected to encounter, and her parents seem awfully protective of their twenty-four-year-old daughter. Fallon's life has been very sheltered, and Justice soon realizes she hasn't experienced any of the firsts her peers would have. Fallon wants to experience life, and find her independence. She is refreshing, innocent, and brightens Justice's world. Things get complicated when a threat presents itself and thoughts of kissing her begin to consume him.
The suspense angle was intense with plenty of red herrings and suspects including a pushy ex-boyfriend. I loved how Foster used this threat, to allow Justice and Fallon to become closer as she exposes their pasts, vulnerabilities, fears and desires. I connected with both of them, even Fallon who I was sure I wouldn't like. Her story will gut you, and I found myself wiping away tears. I loved the moment when the cover made sense and thought Foster did an excellent job of wrapping up the suspense and ending their story.
From their chemistry to time spent with characters from the Ultimate series, HARD JUSTICE delivered an engaging, swoon-worthy, and action-packed tale that allowed me to slip into their world for a few hours. I cannot wait for news on the next book.
