The stunning and emotional drama from award-winning romance writer Dani Atkins.
This is the story of Ally and Charlotte, whose paths have intersected over the years though they've never really been close friends. Charlotte married Ally's ex and first true love, David. Fate is about to bring them together one last, dramatic time and change their lives forever.
Full of Dani's signature warmth and emotion, this is a gripping and emotional family drama. With breath-taking plot twists, Dani explores themes of serendipity, friendship and love. What would you do if your husband was the love of somebody else's life? And when faced with an agonising decision, could you put the past behind you and do the right thing?

This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I have previously read Dani's first two books Fractured and The Story of Us and adored them both so I knew that I was going to love this book. I finished this book at 12:18am and I couldn't sleep for ages because it was all I could think about. That was 2 days ago and this book is still on my mind.
This book follows Ally and Charlotte. The story is told over one night but intertwined with flashbacks.
I predicted the end of this book way too soon and spent every page turn hoping that I was wrong because what I predicted was just to devastating and cruel. However, to say this book is predictable would be an outrage. There were parts that I would have never expected.
Jake is one brave 7 year old. I have been in a similar situation, I was just 2 years older and let me tell you I was nowhere near as strong.
I don't want to ruin anyone's experience of reading this book so I won't say anything else on the story itself. I will say that the writing is outstanding. Dani has a way of making these characters seep into your heart and soul. I adore Dani's books and I can' wait to sink into her next one, which is currently sitting on my shelf.
