Miranda is a 12 year old girl in NYC being raised by a single mom, who happens to experience her own "Wrinkle in Time".

This book was adorable. The setting is NYC 1978 - 1979, which made me rather nostalgic, since I also was living there at that same time (just slightly younger). This is a very complex story about life, love and growing up. In addition, we get a cool sic-fi-ish twist.
