I am all about the self-help and personal development book stuff if you haven't noticed. I want to live the best life I possibly can ON MY TERMS. I heard about this book then looked it up Goodreads then promptly borrowed it from the library. I loved this book. Jen Sincero thinks as I think and she talks like I talk.  Sincero also explains the terms in a way that almost anyone can understand. If you like me and read such books such as The Power of Now then you know that some authors can be a bit....out there. And after you get done with the book you are no closer to understanding how to be all zen then when you started. I love trading. You are a Badass because now I know how to use the law of attraction. I have read the books by Esther Hicks but damn if I really understood them. I mean how exactly do I get into the vortex? I mean how do I "feel my way in"? "With You Are A Badass"  I FINALLY understand that you need to be grateful for something even before it happens. And if this sounds like a bunch of new age crap to you the bible says the same thing... somewhere.

I really feel like I got a lot out of this book. I read it all in one sitting it was that readable and I did not once feel like I wanted to throw it across the room like I have with others. I have to admit that it has a lot of the same info as other books, but You Are A Badass in a LOT more readable than others which make it get all 5 stars in my book.

[Tweet "If you want to learn how to have a badass life read this book"]

I love how she sprinkled tales of her own life in this book and how she used her own life experiences to illustrate her points. When I read "The Vortex" and "The Power of Now" I was all like I call bullshit of this stuff but now I am intrigued. I am going to start being grateful for my condo on a tropical beach and then it will come to me. I hope... I guess I need a little more practice in the having faith department but WHATEVER. The point IS that reading this book made me WANT to give it a try.

I especially loved the chapter on meditation. Sincero gave different examples that I feel like I could do. Like staring at a burning candle. I am not too sure I can empty my overactive brain, but it is worth a try Right? In all seriousness though this book is easily assessable to those who feel like they can't make heads or tails out of other more advanced books. If you want to learn about meditation and how to get in the vortex and have all your dreams come true, then you should read this book. I am only half-joking.  I really did love this book and feel that a lot of people could get something out of it.
