It actually takes a while to get to the competing hi-jinks in Dating You/Hating You, but it did make me chuckle when Evie and Carter got down and dirty with each other (and not in *that* way), I particularly liked Carter being decaffeinated without knowing it and Evie ending up with fake tanned hands because of her hand lotion obsession. I just love the concept of love/hate relationships because done right they can be so satisfying and I loved Evie and Carter separately and together. This is very much a quick and easy read – told from both Evie and Carter’s perspectives and the pages really do just fly past with so much ease. It was so hard trying to root for them both, when we knew one could lose their job, but they were both so dang personable and lovely.
I really, really enjoyed Dating You/Hating You. I loved the romance, the hi-jinks, the characters, I loved Evie and Carter. I loved the writing style – I can see why so many people rave about Christina Lauren and their writing because they write so, so well. Dual authors fascinate me because it’s like who wrote what?!?! How did they write it?! Stick it together, etc??? And the best authors just make you forget it’s written by two people and I was just pulled into the story wholly and completely. I can’t wait to dive into Christina Lauren’s back catalogue because I really loved Dating You/Hating You.
