What a wild read! I've always loved retellings and LOVED learning the backstory of Peter Pan and Captain Hook before they became hero and villain. This story turns that concept on its head, where we learn to empathize with Captain Hook (formerly Jamie) as he struggles to control the selfish and free-spirited Peter Pan. The story lulled for me in places, but there were some graphic battle scenes that made up for it. There were so many chilling interactions between Peter and Jamie that made me scared for Jamie's life and all the lost boys at Peter's mercy. Overall, an excellent read and greatly recommended!
