3 ½ Stars for this issue. It’s a decent start to Spider-Geddon, making it clear that we’re going to be seeing different Spider-Mans in different universes and all that, and I even like the punk design for Spider-Man. But some of the alternate universe points felt too force – like they were trying really really hard to squeeze all these references into a single issue. Maybe it would have read better if they had spread it out into two issues? I will say that the reveal for Spider-Punk in the end was a good one. It had less of a dramatic impact for me, since I accidentally read Spider-Geddon first, so I know what’s going to happen already. But it was still really well done.
