LIKES

- I like the mystery elements of this story. There's not enough YA mystery I don't think.
- I also loved that it took place at boarding school! And in Canada!
- I liked the second half of this book. I could do without the first. I found there was a lot more going on and we actually started getting some hints about what was happening with this murder. We were in the complete dark in the first half.
- I found all the characters pretty interesting. They certainly all had very different personalities. I liked how Julia didn't trust anyone which made me skeptical about all the characters. It made the story fun not knowing who did what.

DISLIKES

- The translation was pretty bad. I mean it was still easy to understand and everything but there were little things that drove me crazy. Like British terms were used sometimes but American terms other times. It wasn't consistent.
- Again, this could be a translation issue but there was no research done about Canada. They kept mentioning the state police and were don't even have states here. Poutine was also mentioned a lot but in BC it's not as common and this book made it seem to be.
- I found the beginning of this book really slow. The author was trying not to give us too many details to keep it interesting which worked in the end but not in the first half. It was easy for me to put it down.
