"I may or may not recover from it. I get no choice in the matter. It's the hand that fate has dealt me and I get to deal with it, whether I want to or not." (Chase Walker)

Chased Dreams ruined Chasing Nikki and Finding Chase.

In Chased Dreams, Chase and Brittney are married and are living a happy life together. Unfortunately, they become a couple that can't communicate with each other effectively and they don't have the sparks and chemistry that they had in Finding Chase.

Chase isn't the witty, confident, direct and hilarious guy that I remembered from Chasing Nikki and Finding Chase. Instead, he is self-loathing and self-pitying and it annoyed me to no end.

The beginning of Chased Dreams is readable but it isn't anything special. Towards the middle of the book, there is a twist that is unrealistic and makes the events that occurred in Chasing Nikki and Finding Chase and the important themes that this series deals with meaningless.

There are a few things in this book that I did like:
1) Chase's relationship with his family and friends, especially his relationship with his grandfather.
2) The Chase at the end of Chased Dreams was the Chase that I liked from Chasing Nikki and Finding Chase.
3) Chase finally got the happy ending that he deserved with the girl that he loved.

If you love Chasing Nikki, how Finding Chase ended and you really liked Chase and Brittney together, then I wouldn't recommend Chased Dreams.
