This one was just Ok for me. It was pretty short which translated into the story feeling very underdeveloped. There were also very heavy subject matters (coming out, drug abuse, and alcohol abuse) that because of the length wasn't given the page space they deserved. On top of that, I wasn't a fan of the fact that Royal basically (show spoiler)[ cheats on Jake by kissing other men and letting one give him a BJ (he doesn't finish.) And for the love of GOD unless you are Bill Clinton oral sex is STILL sex. Jake asks if Royal was with anyone when they were apart, and he says NO. This despite the fact that he made out with tons of other guys and let one put his dick in his mouth. So not only was he a cheater, he was also a LIER. (lol)] (hide spoiler) That pretty much ruined the already thin connection this couple had. AND...to that end, I am not even sure how this qualifies as a romance book when the couple spends only a few pages out of the entire book actually in the same place! The majority of the book is about Royal getting his life together. So yea, as I said...this one was just OK.
