Yet again, a book I wanted to cry while reading, but I'm just incapable of crying at the moment ... who knows why?!

Like most books I read, I went in with zero expectations, I didn't quite know what it would really be about. But man, is this story completely heart breaking! All the things that Alex Hart had to go through at such a young age is seriously unimaginable the constant pain she had to live with. But there was a light at the end of that tunnel; Drew Foster. Right when you thought things were getting better for her, it all just slipped away ... Not going to lie, it's really hard to not give anything away, so you'll just have to read the book to see what happens.

This book was a quick read and I really enjoyed the story. And Drew is one sweet-sweet man, you'll fall in love with him right from the get-go. I did feel like something was missing around the middle of the book, as to what exactly what that was, I'm not sure. But overall, it was a story that I loved very much. And her Papa, he is a supporting character that you'll love so much! The relationship between Alex and her grandfather is so amazing, their bond goes so deep and he was her rock for so long.

I hope everyone takes the time to read it, there was SO MUCH emotion that went into this book. I've been such a fan of J.B. McGee's books and if you are too, then you'll like this standalone story as well.
