This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free for a Blog Tour in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. After the ending to Essence I couldn't wait to read Enlightened.

I love Jocelyn and how much her character grew in this book. I loved reading day after day as the barrier disintegrated a little more, but some of the scenes were really difficult to read.

Jackson and Jocelyn quickly become more intense and serious in 2009 which causes her already strained relationship with her mother to worsen.

Emily and Robert were a pillar of strength to Jocelyn. They really provided her with the support that she needed.

This book had so many twists and turns that I was kept guessing all the way to end. Usually I wont read any previews or teasers for the next book in the series but I didn't want this to end and I just couldn't help myself so I read the first chapter of Perception. Obviously I already can't wait for this to be released.
