I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Enticing Her Unexpected Bridegroom is the fourth book in Catherine Hemmerling’s Lady Lancaster’s Garden Society Series. I CAN NOT believe I haven’t been reading this series until now. I instantly fell in love with Hemmerling’s society gals and the way they build each other into strong, young women.

One such lady is Sarah Jardin. She is the fifth child so she is almost lost in the shuffle of her family. Until she happens to meet the beautiful and exuberant, Hannah Rochester, she has no friends to call her own. Once brought under Hannah’s good graces, Sarah meets Hannah’s older brother, David, and falls head over heels into a school girl crush. Sarah possesses no filter and believes herself to be awkward and uncoordinated. These traits don’t scare the Rochester siblings away, it only brings them closer.

Several years later, Sarah finds herself established in the Garden Society where the ladies solve mysteries. When found in a compromising position, Sarah and David are forced to marry and David ends up embroiled in the latest mystery the ladies have found.

I can say with all certainty, I fell in love with this novel in the first chapter. The characters are well developed and easy to form a lasting bond with. Though Sarah and David had no idea how their marriage would turn out, their passions explode while their minds figure out the most recent intrigue.

Enticing Her Unexpected Bridegroom is a regency romp with the added bonus of a suspense thriller. I can’t wait to read the other three books in the series as soon as possible.
